Standards & compliance

Engineered to international standards

Offshore work is governed by overlapping code, statutory, class and client requirements. We treat compliance as an operating principle, not a logo wall.

API

Drilling and production equipment specifications and recommended practice.

ASME

Pressure equipment, piping and welding codes.

ISO

Quality, welding, HSE and asset-management management-system principles.

IEC

Electrical, instrumentation and hazardous-area requirements.

IMO

Including the 2009 MODU Code for applicable mobile offshore drilling units.

IACS

Common structural and survey requirements across member societies.

DNV

Current offshore-unit rules and standards, referenced as an example framework.

ABS

Offshore unit and facility rules where applicable to the asset.

Lloyd's Register

Classification requirements where nominated by the client.

Bureau Veritas

Classification and third-party verification frameworks.

Flag state

Applicable flag-state statutory requirements for the unit.

Coastal state

Applicable local offshore regulations in the operating area.

Client specifications

Company technical specifications and project requirements.

OEM requirements

Original-equipment manufacturer maintenance and overhaul criteria.

How we apply it

Applicable requirements, identified before execution

Each project begins with identifying the applicable framework: the codes named in the client's specification, the nominated classification society's current rules, the flag-state and coastal-state requirements for the operating area, and the OEM criteria for the equipment involved.

For mobile offshore drilling units, we recognise the importance of the IMO 2009 MODU Code and the relevant offshore classification requirements applicable to the unit. Where DNV rules apply, we work to the current offshore-unit rules and standards as an example of that framework.

References to API, ASME, ISO, IEC, IMO, IACS, DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register and Bureau Veritas describe frameworks that may apply to offshore projects. They do not indicate approval, certification or endorsement of Alpine Crest Holdings by those organisations.
